When a former life-sentenced convict under murder case gives a reporter lessons on morality

Through the full use of administrative resources and with groups of people who were rather aggressive (for some unknown reason), today the “mourning” march led by Nikol Pashinyan kicked off from Republic Square, the most sacred place for the person occupying the seat of Prime Minister.

Before the march began, as in all cases, reporters were obviously trying to address their questions to the participants of the march.

Among the reporters was reporter for Channel 5 (Hingerord Aliq) Lara Arakelyan, who had barely begun to carry out her professional activities when the gathered started pushing and shoving and offending her and the media outlet that she was reporting for.

Interestingly, the person who was giving Lara Arakelyan lessons on the moral right to be at Republic Square and shaming her was, for instance, Stepan Grigoryan, a former life-sentenced convict who was prematurely released on April 29, 2020 (during the administration of Nikol Pashinyan).

As a matter of fact, on December 25, 1997, by the decision of the Supreme Court, Stepan Grigoryan was sentenced to the death penalty after being charged with participation in a murder and under points 1 and 7 of Article 99 of the Criminal Code of 1961. He pleaded guilty and spent 23 years in prison.

We are not insisting that the life-sentenced convict who might have behaved well during his years of imprisonment should have spent his whole life at a correctional institution, but one thing is for sure — a person who participated in a murder is not the person who should be giving a reporter working in good faith lessons on moral right.

And, of course, deputy of the My Step faction of the National Assembly Andranik Kocharyan, who was convulsing while talking to reporters from time to time, helped make the picture complete. As if provoking people to confront the reporter through his “speech” wasn’t enough, Andranik Kocharyan also stood out with his aggressive behavior.

Once again, we would like to remind the Member of Parliament the following: Andranik Kocharyan, the leader of your political team and those sharing responsibility are the ones who have handed over and are handing over the homeland, not reporters, and believe us when we say that your aggressive behavior doesn’t intimidate or constrain anyone, and wherever you go, people will always remind you that you are at least a member of the team of the person who handed over lands!

As for the police, they merely kept silent and recorded what was happening around Lara Arakelyan.
