The Livingston Group, known for its anti-Armenian activities in the USA, organizes meetings for Jirair Sefilian in Washington.
The famous American lobbying company, i.e., the Livingston Group, which is known for its strong anti-Armenian activities in the United States, providing services to the Turkish-Azerbaijani lobby in Washington, provides services to the National Democratic Pole Party. In particular, we found out that this most successful lobbying organization in the USA, which has worked for a long time against the process of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, as well as the pro-Armenian resolution 907, is trying to organize meetings in the US institutions for Jirair Sefilian, who is going to leave for the USA in the near future.
“The purpose of the visit is to build relationships with the administration, relevant Congressional officials, and the analytical community and explore how the NDP can help strengthen the relationship between the United States and Armenia and counter Russia’s malign influence in Armenia. The NDP also wants to significantly strengthen ties with Armenia and the European Union, as well as with US allies and partners,” this is stated in the newsletter of the Livingstone Group sent to the US Department of Justice dated March 31 of this year, to which Jirair is also attached Sefilian’s biographical sheet.
It is noteworthy that Sefilyan’s arrest in 2016 in his biography is connected with his sensational statement “800 hectares”, while at that time the leader of the “Constituent Parliament”, currently a member of the NDP Council, Jirair Sefilian was accused of possessing illegal weapons and ammunition, forming a group with criminal purposes, in an attempt to seize a military unit and Yerevan TV tower. Sefilian was also accused of planning mass riots and was sentenced to 10.5 years in prison. By the way, Sefilian was not acquitted, but was released with amnesty after two years of imprisonment.
In the newsletter sent to the above-mentioned US structure, the Livingston Group presented a number of facts about the activities of the NDP. It is noted that NDP was the first political organization in Armenia to raise the flag of Ukraine during the anti-war action, which ended near the Russian embassy.
The newsletter also states that the NDB is categorically against Russia’s presence in Armenia and has repeatedly called for the de-occupation of Armenia as a precondition for the country’s democratization, development and security, and also states that the NDP wants to remove Armenia from the Moscow-led Collective Security Treaty Organization. (CSTO) and position Armenia as the main ally of the United States.
In his strategy of establishing contact with US officials and deepening those ties, he chose a lobbying organization serving the interests of Turkey and Azerbaijan in the US for a long time, and using its services is by no means an available pleasure.
