A feast in the time of plague. “provincial circus’’ in the National Gallery
Anna Hakobyan posted photos on her Facebook page from a visit of hers, NikolPashinyan, Ashotik and daughters in the National Gallery of Armenia. In the exhibition hall of Aivazovsky’s paintings, they are wearing sports clothes, shorts, tops and caps with the coat of arms of Armenia.
Hopefully, the other visitors to the gallery, especially the tourists, would have been removed at the time of their visit, so that they would not witness that shameful scene. It is not difficult to imagine the expression on the face of any European, when they accidentally find out that a group of strollers in the clothes of authentic residents of a vagrant chapitocircus are the infamous president and his family.
The members of this family never learntwhereto wear what or where and how to present themselves. Provincialism, rusticity is a mark that, in fact, cannot be eliminated even by Tom Ford’s expensive designer-consultants and their expensive and luxurious lifestyle.
Someone would have reminded the members of this family that 120,000 people in Artsakh are currently under siege, there are queues for bread, there is no medicine, and just a few days ago 4 Armenian men were killed by this couple’s beloved Aliyev: the bodies of two young servicemen were buried today in Yerablur, and the people of Artsakh cannot visit the graves of their children, husbands and brothers buried in Yerablur because of their “graceful and constructive” genocidal partner.
While Anna Hakobyan and NikolPashinyan were walking and having fun in the streets of Yerevan with bodyguards, “gaitingjoifully”, just today at Yerablurmilitary pantheon they said their last goodbye to the 2 servicemen who died in Artsakh, YervandTadevosyan and Samvel Torosyan. Their family members, friends, relatives, common citizens came to say goodbye to the boys from Artsakh, who felt great pain when they heard the news of the boys’ death.
By the way, for a long time even the bodies of these servicemen could not be brought to Armenia for burial.
And now, ATTENTION. None of the representatives of the RA government, including NikolPashinyan, Speaker of the National Assembly AlenSimonyan, Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan were present at the funeral ceremony of the fallen servicemen. MPs and ministers of the National Assembly were also not present. They don’t even keep the formal side anymore: perhaps they are afraid that they will not be able to control their delight.
