Azerbaijanis arrested Ruben Vardanyan? His wife, Veronika Zonabend, will make a statement

A little while ago, the media spread information that the former State Minister of Artsakh, Ruben Vardanyan, was arrested by Azerbaijanis on his way to Armenia.

To make it clear, 168.am contacted his teammates and colleagues in Artsakh and Yerevan.

They answered that they still cannot get in touch with Vardanyan, thus the information spread cannot be denied or confirmed yet.

Ruben Vardanyan’s team told us that soon Ruben Vardanyan’s wife Veronika Zonabend will make a statement.

In a conversation with CivilNet, Ruben Vardanyan’s wife, Veronika Zonabend, informed that the contact with her husband was lost, she saw news about his arrest in the Azerbaijani media. She did not provide other details.

Azerbaijani telegram channels report that Vardanyan was arrested by Azerbaijani forces.

Later on, Azerbaijani media confirmed that he was detained while crossing the Lachin Corridor.
