The professional work of journalists is guaranteed by law and has absolute public importance.

Unfortunately, there are many cases when a journalists encounter obstacles, obstacles, insults and even violence during their work.

These vicious phenomena are intensifying due to socio-political different processes. This is where the atmosphere of hatred and enmity grows so much that the journalist also becomes the bearer of its consequences.

Later, unfortunately, there are situations when measures of responsibility for obstructing the journalistic work are not applied or are not effective. The problem is especially big when it comes to crimes against journalists. This becomes one of the main reasons why crimes against journalists are not prevented.

A journalist should have the opportunity to use the informational opportunity that arises at a particular moment without hindrance and to publish information.

Systemically, such an atmosphere should be created in the country so that journalists themselves feel that they are protected by the state from any encroachment on their professional work. Crimes must be properly investigated and those who committed them must be held accountable.

It is important to inculcate public perceptions that the presumption should always be in favor of the legitimate and honest work of a journalist holding the high title of acting in accordance with the law and in good faith. The work of journalists also ensures the transparency of public authorities and, therefore, the citizens’ control over the authority.
