NK conĪict settlement to be important part of Lavrov-Nalbandian talks: Russian Foreign Ministry
The Nagorno Karabakh conĪict settlement subject will be an important part of the upcoming negotiations of Russia’s FM Sergey Lavrov and Armenia’s FM Edward Nalbandian on February 22 in Moscow, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement. The Ministry said Moscow has always had an important role in that process, including after the latest escalation in the beginning of April, 2016.
Issues of bilateral cooperation, international and regional policies will be discussed during the negotiations. “During the February 22 negotiations the Foreign Ministers will discuss a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, international and regional policy,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Russia diplomats said, “The stances of Russia and Armenia over issues of international and regional agenda are very close or matching.”
“An intensity of interactions and close coordinating is seen between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries within the frameworks of UN, EEU, CSTO, CIS, OSCE, BSEC and other entities and organizations,” the Russian Ministry said.
The visit will become the logical continuation of the Russian-Armenian active dialogue, which is focused on the further development of close cooperation in the political, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres”.
