Situation in NK line of contact remains tense

Last night Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasefire regime over 145 times firing from mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns along the entire length of the Nagorno KarabakhAzerbaijan line of contact, the Defense Ministry of Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh Republic) told.

The Ministry issued a statement which says: “On March 2 and overnight March 3 the situation in the Nagorno Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact remained tense.

The Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire regime over 145 times by firing more than 2000 shots from mortars, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns at the Armenian positions along the entire length of the line of contact.

More intensive ceasefire violations were registered in the eastern and north-eastern directions of the line of contact where the Azerbaijani forces fired 111 shells from 60mm and 82mm mortars and various types of grenade launchers.

The NKR Defense Army forces took countermeasures and suppressed the Azerbaijani activeness”.
