In the framework of the visit, the President of Armenia will meet with the highest leadership of Germany – President Joachim Gauck, Chancellor Angela Merkel, President of Bundestag Norbert Lammert, Minister of Foreign Affairs, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Many of you may have heard about the clashes currently underway in Nagorno Karabakh and are not sure about the reasons, or have read about the conflict and would perhaps like to learn more about it.

After ceasing fire at 12:00, April 5, the adversary continued to violate the ceasefire in the directions of Martuni, Martakert and Talish. From 12:10 to 16:48 Azerbaijanis fired from large caliber mortars, grenade launchers and tanks in the mentioned directions.
President Putin expressed his deep concern over the military operations that claimed numerous lives. It was mentioned that Russia took and will continue to take necessary mediation steps aimed at the stabilization of the situation.
“The Co-Chairs announced that they will travel to the region shortly, together with Ambassador Kasprzyk. Ambassador Kasprzyk will also travel to the areas affected by the military escalation as soon as the situation permits,” the statement reads.
Azerbaijani officials, who are used to easy money, start to realize that time already works against them. Taking a glance backward, they clarify that they missed the peak of their economic power. If in mid-2000s 25-35% economic growth was recorded in Azerbaijan, currently the situation will more worsen (they have neither a political will nor a desire for a good economy). “The Defense army strives to be loyal to the agreement on suspension of fire,” Hasratyan said.

Power is the light which emanates from the new generations in Artsakh and Armenia, and today that light has united us all, made us one iron fist, which will fall on the head of the foe which threatens our security. “
