According to 168.am newspaper’s source from the Government of the Republic of Armenia, on Friday, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a letter containing rather harsh assessments from the Venice Commission which, however, the Government of the Republic of Armenia hadn’t published until yesterday.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today received candidate for the post of Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas. The meeting was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Armenia Igor Nazaruk.
Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė congratulated Armenian President Armen Sarkissian and the Armenian nation on Republic Day.
She said the visit is a follow up to the Bishkek Foreign Ministerial meeting where it was decided to nominate Zas for Secretary General.
The Russian SISTEMA financial corporation, a major private investor, has re-nominated Armenian ex-President Robert Kocharyan to serve on its Board of Directors as Independent Director.
According to Vanetsyan, Ioannisyan’s statements make him laugh. “The National Security Service is operating within the scope of its powers and within the scope of specific laws.”
“I am sure I will from now on have enough time to carry out more active activities especially within international professional partnership . God bless our country and people”.
Let us also remind that during the rallies led by Pashinyan that were part of the velvet revolution in 2018, Pashinyan’s teammates helped an old man come up on stage, and he presented himself as the grandfather of deceased hero of the Four-Day Artsakh War (April 2016) Robert Abajyan and gave a speech.
Let us recall how Azerbaijan acted in the hottest phase of the interior political developments in Armenia — Azerbaijan supported Pashinyan and there was an agreement in Dushanbe. Now, Azerbaijan views that the time for Pashinyan to take a breath is over and is setting forth specific conditions.
