Armenian Prime Minister: Armenian State Bodies Ready for Necessary Actions to Stabilize the Situation

Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan convened a consultation on March 2 regarding the large-scale offensive actions of Azerbaijan along the entire contact line of Karabakh-Azerbaijan opposing forces. The consultation was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for International Economic Integration and Reforms of Armenia Vache Gabrielyan, Minister of Health Armen Muradyan, Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan, Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan and Deputy Foreign Minister Shavaarsh Kocharyan.

As  168.am was informed from the Information and Public Relations Department of the Government, the Prime Minister stated that this is an unprecedented action against the peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict overtly demonstrated by Azerbaijan. “The Armenian Armed Forces have repelled the adversary inflicting heavy losses on them, and keeps full control of the situation. State bodies of the Republic of Armenia are ready for all necessary actions within their capacities to stabilize the situation”.

Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan reported on the situation, mentioning that the operations waged by Azerbaijan are unprecedented ever since 1994: The active military operations are underway on the contact line of Karabakh-Azerbaijan opposing troops at the moment. The Armenian Armed Forces have adequately retaliated.

Hovik Abrahamyan gave assignments to relevant agencies and stressed the importance of giving timely and true information to the public.
