“The Azerbaijani aggression we have seen over the last few days is deeply disappointing. There are a number of new reports indicating that more than 100 Armenians have been killed as a result. Chairman Ed Royce and I urged that Azerbaijan use the opportunity provided by the recent Nuclear Security Summit to advance the peace process.”
“We are deeply concerned by the recent disturbing news from the Line of Contact between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan. It is unacceptable to reject international commitment to resolve the conflict partially, through the exclusively peaceful means, particularly, when the victims of this military adventurism are also innocent civilians, including children.”
