Former Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan is a Member of “Consolidation” Party

Former Human Rights Defender Karen Andreasyan decided to become a member to the “Consolidation” party founded by Vartan Oskanian, former Foreign Minister. K.Andreasyan told about this prior to the party convention. According to him, it’s his wish to observe human rights protection in the country, free competition, democracy, and many points of the party ideology coincide with his belief.

“A regime change is necessary if we want the concepts to be implemented. However, regime change is not conditioned by resignation of the president, one should have public trust, have his word and say in making decisions,” K.Andreasyan said.

He stated that, the team which gathered and initiated this political party, in his deep conviction, has both necessary intellect and decency. To the question whether he’s not concerned, that Robert Kocharyan was standing behind the party, K.Andreasyan stated that Vartan Oskanian had already reflected to that question.
