Developments in Yerevan in Favor of Baku: Trofimchuk
“Under such situation Karabakh war seems more realistic,” Grigory Trofimchuk, foreign affairs, security and defense analyst, told 168.am reflecting to the developments in Yerevan.
Note, members of “Sasna Tsrer” group took the Police Patrol Service Regiment and a few policemen as hostages. The situation remained unchanged for three days. Negotiations are in process. Members of the group introduced their claims to the authorities.
Trofimchuk stated, that one of the main factors, which instigated “Sasna Tsrer” group to take that building and hostages after the April war and timely ceasefire is incomprehensible development of NK conflict settlement process. According to the analyst the way the group members fought in Karabakh, together with their supporters they currently decided to activate the issue, submitting applications to the authorities.
“Making calls, not thinking long, joining Karabakh to Armenia, as well as claiming Serzh Sargsyan to dismiss, who seemingly was preparing to surrender to “Russian pressures” and concede some part of the territories to Azerbaijan. I think, the issue will deepen linked to further terror acts, as the society doesn’t realize what’s going on around him, and the most important, what to anticipate tomorrow.
Indefiniteness always frightens. I’ll directly say, such developments of the state of affairs is beneficial for Baku, as the latter can already state, that terrorists joined Karabakh conflict settlement process. There is no that wide protestant wave, with which plotters were linking hopes, however, such wave may raise at any moment.
Everything depends on how quickly and clearly the authorities will be able to settle that existent issue. Yet time works against the authorities. They make those people and their supporters heroes, for whom maximal tension of the situation is beneficial,” Grigory Trofimchuk said, adding that due to such violent actions Karabakh peaceful negotiations are definitely becoming complicated. In his conviction, against this background war seems more realistic.
