The First Claim is the Release of Jirair Sefilian and other Political Prisoners: Varuzhan Avetisyan

Press conference of members of Founding Parliament initiative and “Sasna Tsrer” armed group in the territory of police HQ has finished a while ago.

“We took the arms, took the direction of armed rebellion, being convinced that in Armenia it’s no more possible to reach changes through another way. Our activities definitely fit within the law, constitution logic and demands for norms, and we act realizing that sacred right.

We took the arms to become a spark for the people’s rebellion,” Varuzhan Avetisyan, member of “Sasna Tsrer” group told at the press conference.

He stated that the rebellion is developing slowly, it’s conditioned by a range of factors—despondent condition of the people, being not used to these methods, activity of political manipulators, who, each in his turn, or maybe according to the joint plan, intend to fade another uprising and lead the country to the direction they want—to the decline.

“Positive dynamics is observed,” Varuzhan Avetusyan said adding, that their claim is elimination of Serzh Sargsyan’s regime and his resigning and development of the parliament of people’s trust. In his words, to that way the first claim is freeing Jirair Sefilian and other “political prisoners,” including those detained throughout these days.
