Serzh Sargsyan didn’t Discuss Withdrawal of Territories: Vitaly Balasanyan
The issue of withdrawal of territories hasn’t been discussed in the meeting with RA president Serzh Sargsyan in Artskah. Vitaly Balasanyan, Artsakh hero, NKR NA MP, told reporters today.
He enumerated the participants of the meeting, including NKR president Bako Sahakyan, Artsakhi spiritual leader Archbishop Pargev, and stated that Serzh Sargsyan said he intended to listen to everybody’s opinion, how they observe the ways of solution to the issue.
“I personally asked Serzh Sargsyan—Mr. president, is there any state, person, power, who/which exerts pressure? He said—no, and there won’t be any,” he said.
“Firstly, the territories which are under the control of NKR, Armenia are the guarantor of both NKR territorial integrity and our physical safety, there are people in that territory, how do you imagine those people leaving? There is no such an issue. It may be discussed, put on negotiation table, however, I’m sure people living both in Armenia and in NKR, all Armenians won’t go to that step. We have previously conceded,” Vitaly Balasanyan said.
