Names of Doctors Taken Hostage by “Sasna Tsrer” are Known

The medical community of Armenia condemns the gunmen’s taking hostage the two doctors Norayr Tevanyan and Salvador Khechoyan, paramedic Davit Tonoyan, nurse Malina Margaryan who came to show medical assistance to the wounded in the Police Patrol Station.

The Healthcare Ministry issued a statement: “It is a worldwide unacceptable, condemnable phenomenon when an attempt is being made to raise a hand towards the professionals while they are conducting their humanitarian mission.

The entire medical community of Armenia strictly condemns this immoral act and demands doctors’ immediate release from hostage without any precondition. Even the gunmen did not take into account the fact that from the very start of this incident till now these doctors are providing the necessary medical assistance to the gunmen as well.”
