Price for gas to reduce in January and for electricity—in February: Robert Nazaryan

Robert Nazaryan, President of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, told reporters that tariff for electricity will drop. “Pursuant the law, we have the right to review the tariff in two cases. We review it, if we have a bid from any company or if we consider that there is necessity to provide financial stability of the system, and we start to review upon our own initiative,” R.Nazaryan said.

In his words, in this case it’s obvious that price for gas, sold to thermal stations is defined low by USD 15, naturally, electricity tariff should be reviewed and proper assessment should be given. “In this case, it’s obvious, that the Commission tends to reduce electricity tariff,” R.Nazaryan.

Robert Nazaryan stated that yet in late November they’ll have clear tariff for gas, which will function from January 2017, and in late December they’ll have the decision on electricity tariff, which will be in force from February 2017.
