Tariffs for services drop by 0.7%
0.7% decrease was recorded in Armenia in the field of services rendered to the population in January 2017 compared with December 2016, which is mainly a result of tariff drop in the fields of housing and communal services—1.8% (linked to reduction of gas fuel selling through pipelines by 5.2%), culture—0.9%.
According to the data issued by National Statistical Service of Armenia tariffs for transport services in the mentioned period have dropped by 0.6% linked to 1.6% decrease of air fare prices. Parallel to this, growth has been recorded in the Republic in the field of healthcare and public food—0.1%, recreation—6.1%, and tariffs for communication, educational system, legal and banking services remained unchanged compared with the previous month.
In all the cities of the Republic 1.2-0.6% decrease was observed in tariffs for services in January 2017 compared with December 2016, from which: the highest reduction index was recorded in Kapan. Tariffs in the capital have dropped by 0.6%.
