David Babayan on tense border situation
“Situation on Karabakh-Azerbaijan contact line is as it has always been, as essence of the adversary hasn’t changed,” David Babayan, Spokesperson of Artsakh President, told 168.am reflecting to current tension on the border.
Firstly David Babayan urged to take into consideration the information war while disseminating information through various sources.
“The most important is official information of Artsakhi Defense Army. Even if we suffer losses, which is regretful, one casualty, one wounded soldier is an awful phenomenon to us, we never hide, thus, as long as respective information isn’t provided by respective bodies, one should refrain from disseminating unconfirmed information,” Babayan said.
D.Babayan assures that the situation is the same, “A fascist state should act this way. Who said it shouldn’t violate ceasefire regime? If it doesn’t violate, it’ll be strange for a state like Azerbaijan. They violate ceasefire regime, fire shots, including from grenade launchers, mortars and etc. We need to take into consideration that this is anticipated development, particularly on account of the peculiarity of 2017.
You know, we should all celebrate 25th anniversary of liberation of Shushi, Berdzor, these are reverse anniversaries for them, they lost Shushi, Berdzor, then 25 years have passed from massacres in Khojaly, organizers of which are themselves. They should again inject Armenian venom into their society, so that the regime was maintained to mislead people. Thus, especially this year, they’ll keep on violating the regime, which isn’t strange and unexpected to us,” David Babayan said.
