France bans electonic vote from abroad amid cyber-attack fears
French voters living abroad will not be able to cast an electronic vote for the legislative elections in June because of an “extremely high risk of cyber-attacks”, the government announced on Monday.
“It has been considered preferable not to take any risk that could compromise the French vote from abroad” it says in a statement.
Electronic votes will not be used in the presidential election in April and May.
