We, Armenians, are a very talented nation: Charles Aznavour

Armenians were and remain thankful to the countries providing shelter after the Genocide of 1915, chansonnier Charles Aznavour told in an interview with Chilean La Tercera magazine.

“When Armenians were forced to leave their houses during the Genocide of 1915, various countries have sheltered them.

We were working calmly, diligently and were integrating into that society, as we are a very talented nation,” 92 year-old Aznavour said.

In his words Armenians, who migrated to different countries of the world in early 20th century, were striving to reach success and heights almost in all fields of vitality.

Aznavour’s interview with the magazine was published ahead of the concert scheduled in Santiago on March 11.
