People of Armenia reconfirmed Armenia’s Eurasian development vector: Martynov

“Armenia’s voter has manifested historical wisdom,” Alexey Martynov, Head of Moscow International Higher Business School MIRBIS (Institute), told at today’s Yerevan-Moscow telethon, reflecting results of parliamentary elections held in Armenia.

Martynov said results of parliamentary elections weren’t unexpected, as approximately similar result was anticipated prior to elections. He stated these were the first parliamentary elections, which fixed last year’s Constitutional reforms, as a result of which parliamentary elections are becoming major elections in Armenia and the result is this: on the one hand, definitely the leading party and more than 50 percent of votes, and serious support to “Tsarukyan” bloc, which became opposition a few years ago.

“However, it’s important to state that Tsarukyan is known not only in homeland, but he is a serious businessman and a political figure in Russia as well, thus, we may speak of the fact, that Armenia’s development vector will proceed. I consider this was the after-effect of previous elections. It’s important to state on failure of Western powers. There was much noise about this, many resources and technological efforts have been wasted. However, people of Armenia have manifested historical wisdom, it chose the development vector, which throughout recent years has been actively developed by the leading political party,” Alexey Martynov said.

He also mentioned PM Karen Karapetyan, who, in his words, really had a serious investment in a short period regarding support to the leading party.
