Germany ready to continue assisting NK conflict settlement: Merkel

Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel has expressed readiness to continue involvement in peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflit. Trend agency reports, German Chancellor mentioned about this in a congratulatory message sent to Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

“I am convinced that Azerbaijan, as well as the entire region, will be capable of utilizing their entire potentials only after the settlement of regional conflicts. As an OSCE Minsk Group member, Germany will continue its involvement in peaceful settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict, as well as will support the efforts of the Co-chairs,” Merkel said.
