Flags lowered in Stockholm in memory of victims
Flags on public and private structures in the city of Stockholm were lowered in memory of terror victims that occurred on April 7 in the city, SVT TV reported. The authorities of other Swedish regions also made a decision to lower the flags. People bring flowers to the place of terror attack.
Earlier TASS reported a hijacked beer truck drove 550 meters down the busy pedestrian street and smashed into the Ahlens department store, leaving at least four people dead and more than a dozen injured.
Live television footage showed smoke coming out of the department store, and several people were rushed away in ambulances. Later in the evening the police arrested a man whose detention period was extended on April 8. It is possible he was the driver of the truck.
