Special Investigation Service: Nairi Hunanyan has applied for conditional early release

Nairi Hunanyan, who is the leader of the terrorist group in the case of the events of October 27, 1999, is sentenced to life imprisonment and is serving punishment at Yerevan Kentron Penitentiary Institution, has submitted an application with the request for conditional early release.

168.am talked to Head of the Public Relations Department of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Nona Navikyan about the Hunanyans’ application for conditional early release.

When asked if they have applied for conditional early release, Navikyan said only one of the brothers has applied for the time being.

“Nairi Hunanyan has applied. The application is being processed. Karen Hunanyan hasn’t applied yet,” Nona Navikyan said.

Nairi Hunanyan submitted an application for early conditional release on September 11, 2019, and there will be a reply within an 80-day period, that is, before December 1, 2019.
