In a conversation with 168.am, Davit Babayan, Advisor on Foreign Relations to the President of the Artsakh Republic said that he had repeatedly explained that one of the enemy’s short-term plans was the capture of Shushi. Thereafter, according to the enemy, the military balance could finally change. “At the moment the fighting is going on in Artsakh. Everything is being done by the Armenian forces to destroy the almost trapped enemy unit. At the moment, these actions are underway, everything will be done to stop the enemy’s advance in a number of other settlements near Shushi. The artillery shelling of Stepanakert does not stop for a second, ours are working in response to the enemy’s actions. This is very good, it is tightening their belts. In other words, the situation in Stepanakert is like a capital fighting heroically, “said Davit Babayan.

He emphasized that the people stand firm in their positions “ready to fight to the end” and referred as well to the Telegram channel of the War Gonzo project. The latter announced that Turkey had fired Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov for his ties with Russia. Davit Babayan noted that there is no official information about this yet, but one thing should be understood: The Azerbaijani army is coordinated and ruled by Turkey.

“It is difficult to say if this results from the military operations or if Zakir was fired because he demonstrated his independence. “I repeat, we do not have official information about his dismissal yet, but it is a fact that Turkey already fully controls the Azerbaijani Armed Forces,” Davit Babayan concluded.
