“All attempts of the enemy to penetrate behind us have been stopped, our forces find and destroy the bandits”: David Babayan

“At the moment, the situation in Stepanakert is calm, although the noise of the artillery is constantly heard. The artillery of the Armenian side is also working, which has been quite effective this morning, starting from midnight. Work has been done to destroy a number of bandits, “, told 168.am  Advisor on Foreign Relations to the President of the Artsakh Republic David Babayan.

According to him, the general situation can be considered stable. Nevertheless, it is difficult from the point of view that the enemy continues to make penetration attempts in different directions.

“All attempts of the enemy to penetrate behind us have been stopped. They have been destroyed. It is true that some bandits are trying to take refuge here and there, but our forces find them and destroy them,” Davit Babayan added.

Touching upon the visits of members of parliaments from different countries to Artsakh and the various reactions connected with this, Davit Babayan said that those parliamentarians want to help Artsakh in any way. But there are certain countries that are not able to change the situation.
“We highly appreciate the visits of these advisors, but those visits are more in the moral sphere. People come and express their support for us. But one can not say that those visits will change anything from a geopolitical point of view. It is obviously too early to talk about that. I repeat, of course, it is a positive investment in the moral-information sphere, “Davit Babayan concluded.
