Prosecutor General’s Office task group studies 225 reports
The task group of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia, which was formed with the purpose of studying media reports, reports of citizens, reports through the hot line of the Prosecutor General’s Office, in connection with possible electoral illegal activities during the parliamentary elections has already studied 225 reports as of 01.04.2017, 57 of which contained criminal elements of electoral essence.
In order to clarify the circumstances of the abovementioned reports, the 57 cases were sent to Police departments. 42 out of the 57 were either denied or not con�rmed, while the others are still being clari�ed, the Police HQ told.
46 of the 57 reports related to vote buying, and 11 related to obstructing the free exercise of electoral rights of citizens.
