Murder attempt in Charentsavan, criminal case initiated

A criminal case was initiated in Charentsavan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder attempt against 22 year-old young man.

On April 24, 2018 at 22:10 a call was received from «Charentsavan Medical Center» CJSC informing that a resident of Kotayk region, born in 1995, with diagnosis of «firearm penetrating injury on the right part of the chest» was taken to medical center.

A criminal case was initiated in Charentsavan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code, an investigatory group was formed, 22 year-old young man was found the injured party, a number of people were questioned.

It was found out that the young man was taken to medical center from the area near the former greenhouses of Charentsavan located near HPS High Voltage Substation located at the left part of the road Charentsavan-Alapars. Through inspection of the site the car of «VAZ 2121» make driven by 22 year-old young man was found and three capsules were found at the front part of the car and confiscated. In the result of urgent measures data were obtained on the identity of the person having committed the alleged crime, he is a resident of Charentsavan, born in 1977.

The relevant subdivision of the Police was tasked to take active measures to find and bring him to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, forensic medical, forensic ballistic, forensic trace- chemical complex examinations were commissioned.
