“Comparing those activities—penetration attempts by sabotage and reconnaissance groups, use of weaponry before and after April, presently volumes are incomparably small, mainly sniper rifles, large caliber rifles and artillery are being used. Such gatherings aren’t observed. We attentively follow their moves.”
Karen Vardanyan said, adding that the April war has changed everything, lots of things have changed not only in the Defense Ministry, but in social consciousness as well, “There is big readiness among the society towards implementing works to strengthen Armenia’s defensiveness.”
A strategic command staff exercise codenamed Kavkaz-2016 with 12,500 troops taking part has begun in the Southern Military District, the Russian Defense Ministry has said.

“Purpose of the Agreement is counteracting the armed attack (aggression) against Armenia and Russia and is targeted at undertaking practical measures of equally reflecting to security threats and other challenges, as well as protect territorial integrity of Armenia and Russia,” the letter read.
“Deportation of Stepan Grigoryan from Russia is reprehensible. His cooperation with international organizations or his activity in Armenia has nothing to do with Russia. I can’t imagine, upon which criteria Grigoryan was recognized a person non-desired for Russia,” Edmon Marukyan said.
“We remain committed to the continued development of Artsakh’s economy and its democracy. We also condemn Azerbaijan’s most recent aggression in early April against the people of Artsakh that led to hundreds of military and civilian casualties. We remain hopeful that a peaceful resolution to the Karabakh conflict will be found, and appreciate your unwavering pursuit of regional security and stability.”
