EBRD’s 55 million USD to be aimed at restoration of Goris, Meghri
The Government has approved the “Local economy and infrastructure development program” loan agreement signed on February 23 with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
“The 55 million USD program aims at improving infrastructure services and institutional capabilities for improving the assistance of local economies in selected areas of Armenia”, Deputy Finance Minister Pavel Safaryan said.
The program includes the following components: restoration of heritage and development of tourism routes, which includes the financing of the subprogram of investment beneficiaries of the restoration works of the “old towns” of Goris and Meghri, as well as Areni, Tatev and Tandzatap.
