We Have Means to Surprise the Adversary, if Necessary, Downing in Necessary Directions will Be Implemented : Levon Mnatsakanyan
Lt. General Levon Mnatsakanyan, Commander of the Defense Army, stated during R-Evolution TV program yesterday, that the April operations and use of new weaponry during it had certain impact on combat possibilities and psychology of the Armed Forces.
“By Analyzing the April operations, we suppose having a soldier and a battalion with more saturated technical means, with higher possibilities, as well as implementation of measures for respective provision,” the Lieutenant-General said.
In his words, an immense work has been done after the April operations.
“Our main direction was technical saturation, regarding both frontline, reconnaissance, means of connection, and assuming the leadership of military units and subdivisions. Mainly saturation of technical means towards all directions was stressed,” L.Mnatsakanyan said, adding that works are mainly implemented to reduce influence of human factor and increase the technical component.
In his words, they do their best that the technical equipment on border was mainly of local production.
L.Mnatsakanyan also reflected to in-depth system of reconnaissance, assuring that the device had a fatal importance,
“As a result, the adversary failed to put into action its plans, it mainly refers to the northern direction. Let me mention again, that those works are continuous, they are in the center of our leadership, we cooperate with respective specialists.”
Regarding readiness of NKR Defense Army in case of an attack, he said, “The Defense Ministry has fulfilled tasks put forward during the April war. God forbid, if such operations are resumed, the Defense Ministry is able to perform all the tasks. I once stated that besides defensive operations others are available as well, which will urge the adversary to refrain from its intentions. I assure, Defense Army will implement any task with its power and means.”
Moreover, L.Mnatsakanyan stated, that the Armenian side continues purchasing new armaments, “I wouldn’t like to expand, however, let me say, that we have means and work to that end to surprise the adversary, and if needed, downing will be implemented in necessary directions, and by that we’ll prove fulfillment of military tasks by our subdivisions, and our possibilities, potential will allow our military technical advancement in the future, in the Armed Forces and in the Defense Army.”
