Volatile Invariability

Everybody in Armenia speaks of changes and their necessity. They speak with various epithets and heartbreaking intonation. Radical and revolutionary, evolutional and institutional, personalized and systemic.

Even the authorities speak, which are the only ones from speakers, able not only to speak, but at least implement those changes from time to time. Emptiness and banality of talks on changes don’t leave room for discussion—which changes are necessary for Armenia, so that the state didn’t live in the regime of constant phraseology on the necessity of changes and under permanent absence of changes.

And as the discussion lacks as it is, the authorities from time to time take steps creating imitation of changes for a few months or years, satisfying those speaking of changes, those outside and inside, staff opposition representative and functionary, freelance intellectual and staff sycophant taking his/her position and submissive judge.

Changes in the sense, by which they’re introduced as remedy to Armenia’s salvation, suppose numerous layers and components. And among the supposed layers and components persons, officials and their deputies, heads of departments and prime ministers are only one layer and one component.

Not more and not important at all. As the layers of changes are important, which don’t have names and surnames and political party belonging, which aren’t touchable before any ministry staff or party active.

Constitution, legality, subordination of personal interest to the state one, subordination of the interest of an oligarch to the interest of economic competition, subordination of group interest to justice, subordination of interests of the system to the that of the citizen, a person…

Readiness of implementation of these changes with blurred expression are called political will, which, in fact, isn’t a political will, but a will to refuse, to concede, to approach to the society and leave by that very approach.

Under its absence, which is permanent presence of our life, any change, which comes and is being presented in the form of persons and officials, in fact, is an anti-change and change, which chokes birth of real change in the cradle.

Yesterday, today or tomorrow it’ll be announced about the change of another person or a group. Those leaving will be changed by those coming, so that real changes, which are vitally important for Armenia and its citizens become more impossible and incredible.

This invention of volatile invariability isn’t recorded in any book of records and isn’t licensed in any bureau, but due to this very invention Armenia’s authorities feed the illusion introduced to the society instead of reality.
