Audi is 8 years older than Azerbaijan, and Mercedes-Benz—2 years: Why is Aliyev making noise?

“Why is Aliyev making noise? It’s very clear. He makes noise, as in negotiations he isn’t in a favorable condition, he entered into a deadlock due to the very Azerbaijan, and the international public urges him to recognize Artsakh’s independence,” Eduard Sharmazanov, NA Deputy Speaker, told reporters today, commenting on the statement by Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev, that he won’t launch war in near future, but will wait until Armenia is depopulated, after which he’ll restore historical justice, and Azerbaijan will have its “historical lands”—Goris and Yerevan back.

According to Sharmazanov, throughout these years Azerbaijani authorities for the first time are touching upon their unfavorable position in negotiations. He stated that he advised Azerbaijani authorities to read ancient Greek, Roman historians linked to historical lands, however, with the stubbornness of the well-known animal they didn’t do that.

“Then I proposed, as they like travelling much, to be in Rome and see the ancient world map, where they’ll find Armenia for sure, but they won’t find Azerbaijan. They didn’t do it either. Now, my third proposal, as Azerbaijani authorities enjoy driving luxurious cars, let them read the history of Audi or Mercedes Benz and they’ll know that Audi is 8 years older than Azerbaijan, and Mercedes-Benz—2 years,” Sharmazanov said.
