Administrative procedures should be made comprehensible to foreign investors: Argo Avakov
From next year OSCE Office in Yerevan will implement new programs on improvement of the investment field and business environment in Armenia, which will be implemented in support of UN development and trade expert support, aimed at raising Armenia’s investment attractiveness. Argo Avakov, Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan, told today at parliamentary hearings on “Economic component of Armenia’s foreign policy.”
In his words, it’ll be accomplished by the end of this year and analysis on privileges and possibilities of pharmaceutical companies will be submitted to the Armenian government. A.Avakov stated, that a customs program on the border with Iran will be introduced, assistance will be provided to enterprises, importing goods to Armenia to move to EEU through Georgia, deepen ties by facilitating transit and reducing the risk of border crossing.
“Here facilitation of existent administrative processes will be touched upon as well. In other countries implementation of such a program showed that it’s possible to reduce administrative processes by half and make it comprehensible for foreign investors,” A.Avakov said, welcoming the topic moved forward at the hearings and stating that OSCE Office will continue supporting Armenian government and the NA.
