Case opened in Russia in connection with stealing 470 mln rubles in supplies from Gyumri’s 102nd military base: Kommersant

According to Kommersant investigation of Colonel Denis Zorin, deputy chief of food supply for the Southern Military Region, was over in Russia’s Rostov-on-Don. The latter is charged with abuse and fraud in performance of official duties.

Upon the investigation hypothesis, the Colonel has relation with fraud linked to purchase of food for 102nd military base in Gyumri. According to the media outlet the loss comprises 470 million rubles.

Zorin’s alleged retainer Vladimir Firsov was sentenced to 7 years in prison.  According to the media outlet Colonel Zorin has been kept in Rostov-on-Don’s penitentiary since summer of ongoing year.

Vladaimir Firsov accepted his guilt and mentioned that citizens of Armenia have been engaged with the scheme as well.
