Kim Jong-Nam and Anthony Sahakyan met in adolescence, as students of the Swiss international school. The last time the friends saw each other, when Kim Jong-Nam arrived in Geneva a few months ago.

The Malaysian police on February 14 confirmed the death of Kim Jong-Nam, who felt ill at the air port of Kuala Lumpur and died on the way to the hospital. According to law enforcement, he appealed for help from the ground personnel with complaints of severe dizziness, telling that unknown splashed him in the face with some liquid, then disappeared.

According to another version, an unknown woman brought it to his face soaked in some substance over the cloth. South Korean media reported the attack using the poisoned needles. None of the dubbed versions have not yet received official confirmation.

Kim Jong-Nam is the eldest son of former North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il, born of a well-known local actress song Hye-rim. For a time he was considered the most likely successor to his father at the head of the country, but fell out of favor after trying to enter Japan on a fake passport in may 2001 and since then lived abroad.
