We saw many deaths in April and even today I’m not sure that we clearly know how many died: James Warlick
International mediators must help the Nagorno Karabakh conict sides to respect the ceasefire, former US Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Ambassador James Warlick told Voice of America. “As long as the conict is active, as long as combat activities continue, it is very difficult to have progress on the settlement path,” he said.
According to Warlick, mediators spare no effort in helping the sides to respect the ceasefire and avoid losses. “I hope the Presidents will agree to meet and the negotiation process will move forward.
In late December, when I stepped down as Co-Chair, there were interesting proposals on the table, proposals which will create opportunities for discussion between the two sides,” he said, adding all details of the April War haven’t been revealed yet.
“We saw many deaths in April and even today I’m not sure that we clearly know how many died,” he said.
