Vodka and beer production decreases in Armenia

In January-February of 2017, 4 million 500.1 thousand liters of brandy was produced in Armenia, Armenpress reports citing the data of the National Statistical Service. In January-February, 2016 the brandy production comprised 1 million 992.9 thousand liters, whereas in January-February of this year it exceeded the figure of last year by over 2.3 times.

Whiskey production amounted 276.7 thousand liters in January-February, 2017, whereas in 2016, it was 208.9 thousand liters. Whiskey production increased by 32.5% in 2017. Wine production increased by 35.5%.

In January-February, 2017 it comprised 918.8 thousand liters, while in 2016 it was 678.8 thousand liters. Sparkling wine production amounted 44.6 thousand liters in January-February, 2017, but in 2016 it amounted 25.4 thousand liters.

At the same time beer production decreased by 6.8%, amounting 1 million 325.3 thousand liters in January-February 2017, while in the same period of 2016 it was 1 million 421.6 thousand liters. Vodka production in January-February of this year comprised 613.9 thousand liters, whereas in previous year it amounted 1 million 312.8 thousand liters. This year it decreased by 53.2%.
