US President Trump hopes meeting with Russia’s FM will help to save numerous lives
US President Donald Trump hopes the dialogue with Russia will lead to establishment of peace in Syria and Ukraine. In an interview with NBC TV, Trump said the discussion with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will contribute to saving numerous lives.
“I think we had a very good talk. We discussed Syria and Ukraine. Due to this discussion probably few people will be killed and it will ultimately lead to establishment of peace,” Trump said.
The meeting of Trump and Sergey Lavrov was held on May 10. The White House said Trump plans to improve relations with Russia. The Russian MFA said despite all difficulties, Russia and US can and must jointly assist to settle urgent international issues.
