Judge of the first instance court of the Ararat and Vayots Dzor provinces caught red-handed taking bribe
Levon Arazyan, a judge of the first instance court of the Ararat and Vayots Dzor provinces, has been caught red-handed by the national security service while accepting the bribe. A criminal case has been filed on the same day, and the judge has been detained.
Charges have been pressed against Arazyan for personally demanding and accepting a bribe from a defendant, in order to act in his benefit in a court case. The defendant had to pay a fine under the law, and the judge demanded 600 dollars for ruling a lower fine. Investigation continues.
