No Armenian citizens in cholera-fighting Yemen: MFA

There are no Armenian citizens in Yemen where the cholera disease broke out, Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman Tigran Balayan said on Twitter. “According to the information clarified by Armenia’s Embassy in Egypt, there are no Armenian citizens in Yemen,” he writes.

Yeman declared a state of emergency over cholera crisis. The International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) announced that 115 people were killed in cholera outbreak within two weeks, more than 8000 people are considered contagious.

The capital Sana and nearest regions appeared in the disaster zone where 8 million people live. The Yemen authorities asked for aid from international healthcare organizations aimed at overcoming the crisis.
