“Honorable Serzh Azatovich, Please, accept my congratulations over the victory of the Republican Party of Armenia in the elections of the National Assembly of Armenia. The results of the popular vote fully confirmed the high confidence enjoyed by personally you and the party led by you among the citizens of Armenia.

We ended April 2 by making a step forward in the implementation of our promise given upon their tombs. We promised them to establish a firmer, stronger and developing state and we will do that.We will do that all together.

“It’s important to state on failure of Western powers. There was much noise about this, many resources and technological efforts have been wasted. However, people of Armenia have manifested historical wisdom, it chose the development vector, which throughout recent years has been actively developed by the leading political party,” Alexey Martynov said.

“I’d like to state on Armenia’s Electoral Code reforms and particularly on such a new process, which was named as ‘preferential voting system’. Elections are held by proportional order, however de facto we deal with some proportional component, we know there are polling stations, and as much as I understand, the very voting in favor of exact people seriously contributed to such victory of the leading Republican party.”

We demand peace right now, not after the disaster happens or we have new, innocent victims. Each drop of blood, shed from now on will be on the conscience of those sitting the National Assembly of Armenia.

At least eight stations of the metro have been closed for passengers. Russian President Vladimir Putin has pledged a thorough investigation. “We are considering all possible causes, including terrorism,” he said in a statement.

“The political parties to enter the National Assembly and will attempt to rejoice, it should be qualified as feast during plague,” Artur Sakunts, head of Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor Office, told reporters today.

“I never speak of politics, although I have numerous friends in politics and during meetings with them we speak of art, literature, architecture, music. As for results of parliamentary elections I accept and welcome any election result, which took place by free manifestation of people’s will. Then, I don’t particularly sympathize people, who leave the country and start criticizing politics and the country.”

“We are interested in our country’s development. Many things need a change, but we can step by step together reach our goals, and the goals and strategies are clearly defined which is very important,” Karen Karapetyan said.

” Our mission comprised 172 observers—MPs, diplomats, CEC members, experts, who implemented observation in Armenia’s all polling stations and regions,” Lebedev said.
