On 11 March Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan together with first lady Anahit Sahakyan met in the Stepanakert airport Premier Nikol Pashinyan of the Republic of Armenia and his wife Anna Hakobyan who arrived in Artsakh with a working visit.

On March 12, in accordance with the arrangement reached with the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh, the OSCE Mission will conduct a planned monitoring of the ceasefire regime on the border of Artsakh and Azerbaijan, in the north-eastern direction of the Hadrut region.
In this context, the Co-Chairs urge the sides to refrain from statements and actions suggesting significant changes to the situation on the ground, prejudging the outcome of or setting conditions for future talks, demanding unilateral changes to the format without agreement of the other party, or indicating readiness to renew active hostilities.
Defense minister Davit Tonoyan assures that the Armenian side controls the situation in the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
On 5 March Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan was present at the solemn event commemorating the 60th anniversary of National Hero ofArmenia and Hero of Artsakh Vazgen Sargsyan, which took place at the Defense Army Central Defense Area’s 8th separate motorized infantry brigade named after the Sparapet.
Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan states that there cannot be a military solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, adding that it is necessary to create a respective environment for reaching the peaceful settlement of the conflict, Pashinyan said at the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee in response to the question of one of the Committee members.
During the period from February 24 to March 2 the Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasefire regime in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact nearly 200 times by firing more than 3000 shots from various caliber weapons at the Armenian positions.
The President was accompanied by Artsakh’s defense minister Karen Abrahamyan, NSS Director Samvel Shahramanyan and other officials.
President of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan’s spokesperson Davit Babayan has announced he is establishing a new political party in the country.
