Iranian director Asghar Farhadi has won the best foreign language Oscar in Los Angeles, for a second time, for domestic drama “The Salesman.” Farhadi, 44, did not attend the ceremony because he said that the conditions that would be attached to a potential entry visa were unacceptable.
Oscar winner Susan Sarandon stars in Arthur Balder’s new experimental documentary “American Mirror” with Armenian painter Tigran Tsitoghzhyan, Asbarez reported. The shootings of the film are in th final stage.

Famous German sculptor Bertrand Freiesleben has created the bust of Armenian Chess Grandmaster Levon Aronian. Bertrand Freiesleben told a press conference in “Armenpress” how he sculpted the bust.
The ministry of culture said art historian Poghos Haytayan has passed away on February 6, aged 81. Haytayan is the author of numerous articles, monographs and books.
According to the February 3 decree of Culture Minister Armen Amiryan, Director of Opera and Ballet National Academic Theater Andranik Arzumanyan was dismissed in accordance with his application, the Ministry informed.
