RA National Security of Armenia states, that on July 30 and 31 the terror operation on liberation of the territory of the Police patrol regiment is over. Special units of the law enforcement through their consistent and coherent operations made the members of the armed group lay down the weapons and surrender to the authorities. 20 terrorists have been detained. The territory of the Police patrol regiment has been totally liberated.

“On July 29, in the period between 21:00 and 23:00, the gunmen have periodically opened fire from various types of weapons from the police precinct, in particular from the windows of the 3- storey building, at on-duty police officers in Sari Tagh area, at buildings of the area, as well as at law enforcement officers who were monitoring the blocked part of Khorenatsi Street, and have thrown stun grenades at the barrier in Khorenatsi Street.”
The Defense Ministry of Nagorno Karabakh informs overnight July 26-27 the Azerbaijani side made 14 ceasefire violations by firing more than 100 shots from various caliber weapons at the Armenian positions in Nagorno KarabakhAzerbaijan line of contact.
NKR Defense Army soldier Arsen Arakelyan received fatal gunshot injury at 10:55, July 23 in the position of a regiment located in the south-eastern direction. Investigation is underway to find the details.
I once again urge the armed group to immediately give up their weapons. We have been and we will be patient; life and health of every citizen of our country is precious to us. In this situation, we have not taken the “traditional” route. We have given the armed group an opportunity to take a step back. I hope they will come to senses. According to preliminary investigation, around 22:15 on July 20, several protesters carried out public disturbance in forms of destroying property, violence against Police officers of Yerevan Police Department, which endangered public security. A criminal case has been initiated in the Investigative Department of Yerevan based on Article 225 point 2 of the Criminal Code.
“Several reporters were injured during the clashes overnight on Khorenatsi Street. This is strongly condemnable not only as a manifestation of violence in general, but also as a strongly negative occurrence in terms of obstruction of activities of mass media.”
