ANCA-WR Condemns CFPB for Abandoning Citibank Anti-Discrimination Order
On the agenda of the National Assembly session that began on October 21 is a draft law proposing amendments to the RA Law “On Audiovisual Media.” The proposed change aims to reduce the number of public broadcasters currently defined by law to just two, while simultaneously removing the requirement for these broadcasters to include educational and cultural programming.
Last week, Congressman Darrell Issa, Vice Chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs, introduced the so-called “PEACE Act” – a bill that is being portrayed as a bold measure to deter further Azerbaijani aggression against Armenia.

The controversy over Israel’s lack of recognition of the Armenian Genocide erupted last week when Armenian-Assyrian blogger Patrick Bet-David asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu why Israel has not recognized the Armenian, Assyrian, and Greek genocides. Netanyahu wrongly replied: “In fact, I think we have. I think the Knesset [parliament] passed a resolution to that effect.” Netanyahu knows better than anyone that is not true, since he himself, as Prime Minister, has blocked several such Knesset resolutions.
