The Office of President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian has issued a statement over the constitutional law on amendments in the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of Armenia, adopted in an extraordinary session on October 2.
The Yelk faction of the Armenian parliament has decided to nominate incumbent acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for the first round of election of prime minister due October 24, Yelk faction MP Gevorg Gorgisyan told reporters.

With 56 “for” and 3 “against”, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia rejected the draft law “On making amendments and supplements to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Armenia “Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia””.
President Armen Sarkissian is expected to make a statement regarding his actions concerning the controversial bill on amending the Rules of Procedure law of parliament that was adopted on October 2 and still hasn’t been signed into law by him.
