Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan didn’t participate in the luncheon on the sidelines of the BSEC 25th anniversary summit. The luncheon was served in honor of the heads of states participating in the summit, in the Dolmabahce palace in Isanbul.

The Iraqi authorities made a decision to stop import of tomatoes from Turkey starting from May 21, Hurriyet reports. Iraq’s agriculture ministry said in a statement that they want to assist the local producers by making this decision.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has secured the necessary majority in Friday’s election, defeating his conservative rival, Ebrahim Raisi, according to the country’s Interior Minister, RT reports.
“It’s over, Rouhani is the winner,” the source said on condition of anonymity. Rouhani won 21.6 million votes in Friday’s hard-fought contest, compared to 14 million for Raisi, with 37 million votes counted, the source said, adding about four million more votes were still to be tallied.
