Bundestag put Turkey into odd situation, says Deputy FM Kocharyan
According to Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan, by recognizing the Armenian Genocide the Bundestag has put Turkey into a strange situation.
“Bundestag’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide is of great importance. Germany accepted it was an accomplice of that crime, and in this case, when the accomplice accepts its guilt but the perpetrator denies it: to say the least this becomes odd”, Kocharyan said.
Kocharyan said Armenia’s current goal is the international recognition process of the Armenian Genocide, the final goal being recognition by Turkey.
